Longhua District yesterday released its new logo during the unveiling ceremony of its urban showroom near the Hongshan 6979 commercial complex at the Shenzhen North Railway Station International Bussiness Area in Minzhi Subdistrict, Longhua District.

The district had solicited design of its new logo from across the world starting from the beginning of this year and had received more than 1,000 entries. The new logo features a combination of colors, among which the blue color represents the “Digital Longhua” strategy and the district’s a safe living environment; the purple represents fashion and people’s livelihood; and the orange represents the construction of a smart society and the striving spirit of Longhua residents.

Covering an area of 1,650 square meters, the showroom serves as an exhibition hall displaying the achievements the district gained in its implementation of the “Digital Longhua” strategy and in the construction of its core urban area, and also serves as a new landmark in the district. It will also serve as a venue for lectures and forums.

Longhua District mayor Lei Weihua attended the ceremony and stated that the district should remain steadfast in developing a digital economy, improving the environment of its core urban areas and promoting the integrated development of its people, urban construction and industries.

“The showroom can document the development of Longhua District and display to the world the achievements it gained,” said Lei.

The ceremony was also attended by Longhua Party chief Wang Wei, other officials from district and subdistrict authorities and talent representatives from enterprises.
